Do You Already Have a Website?

The first question is whether you already have a website.

If you don’t have a website yet, move onto the next step, which will walk you through.

But if you do, the content management system (CMS) that you’re likely going to be using might have an option to set up a blog and add it to your website.

I know that this is the case for:

  • Shopify
  • WordPress
  • Wix
  • Squarespace.

This way, you can still have it on the same domain, and it should be easy to set up.

ALTERNATIVELY: you can set it up with a subdomain and use a separate website like WordPress.

The drawback of doing this is that the domain is looked at by Google like it’s a different one, but the benefit is that you can choose a CMS like WordPress, which will give you more SEO flexibility thanks to the plugin store.

Why is it SO MUCH better than the rest?

Here’s why:

Setting up WordPress can be confusing – especially if it’s your first website.
